Behind the Art

My artistic work is an exploration of life itself – in all its complexity, its transitions, and its invisible layers. In vibrant, multilayered compositions, I seek to capture what often goes unnoticed in the constant flow of existence: fragility, memory, transformation, longing, and the beauty that lies within them.

I am drawn to what happens *between* moments – where time seems to stand still, to stretch, or to overlap. My paintings emerge from a deeply felt need to give these in-between spaces a voice. It is about pausing, about perceiving those subtle movements that shape life. In doing so, I question the linear notion of time and open myself to a cyclical, rhythmic understanding: time as a wave, as a cycle, as a fabric woven from the past, the present, and the future.

In many of my works, different temporal layers merge – memories surface, intertwine with the now, and sometimes the future seems almost tangible. This experience of time as something porous and pulsating flows directly into my artistic process. My approach is intuitive and process-oriented. I am guided by inner movements that manifest in gestural interventions, layers, and ruptures. Overlays of acrylic paint, traces, lines, and materials form a visual memory – a sedimented image of experiences, emotions, and inner states.

I find inspiration in biographical moments as well as in mythological narratives. Both are forms of memory to me – individual and collective. They speak of being human, of becoming, fading, and re-emerging. My works are therefore both mirror and resonance space: they invite the viewer to pause, to find their own place, and to enter into dialogue – with their own story, their own longing, their own movement through life.

I am fascinated by the idea that art can be a place where time is experienced differently – not as a measurable entity, but as a sensation. When someone lingers before one of my works, I hope that something opens up: a moment of stillness, an echo of memory, a breath of the future that is already here.

Thus arise paintings that are not only meant to be seen, but *felt*. They are expressions of inner landscapes and, at the same time, invitations to dialogue. I hope my art becomes a starting point for authentic conversations – in studios, in exhibitions, and perhaps also in your home.
